Nocatee Church of God

Our beloved Pastor Emeritus, Rev. Jimmie Collins, known affectionately as “Preacher”, went home to be with the Lord on August 24, 2021.

Words cannot begin to describe the impact this man of God had during his 84 years on this earth. He pastored three churches over a span of 47 years; the Arcadia Church of God, the North Lake City Church of God and the Ft. Ogden Church of God, where he began his calling and later retired from pastoring. During this time, he also proudly served as a Church of God District Overseer for 20 years.

Brother Collins loved greatly. He was a man who loved his God and ALL people. He was a shepherd, a builder of people, churches, and community, a born leader, and a teacher. He was the greatest storyteller ever, was at the center of everything fun, gave tirelessly, gave joyfully, and had a servant’s heart. He continually saw the possibility in others and was a positive influence on more people than we will ever know.

What a legacy!
